My friend did not receive an invitation letter the BSU Overnight, but would like to attend. How can my friend participate in the program?
The BSU Overnight Program is an invitation-only program. Unfortunately, we can only accommodate a limited number of participants, thus a select number of UC San Diego admitted high school seniors have been invited to attend the program.
Upon submission of my application, am I guaranteed as a participant of the program?
No. We accept participants into the program on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all spaces have been filled, any remaining applicants interested in participating in the program will be placed on a waitlist.
When is the last day to submit the application?
The last day to submit the application is Wednesday, March 24, 2011. We will take applications submitted after the 24th of March into consideration if spaces are still available. It is highly recommended that applications be submitted as soon as possible, since spaces will fill up quickly!

BSU Overnight Program participants will be paired up with a current undergraduate (most likely a current student member from the BSU) and will stay with them at one of UC San Diego's six colleges. We will try our best to place you at your college of admission, but this is not guaranteed.
Will you be providing transportation?
One-way transportation may be provided to students coming from the Los Angeles and Inland Empire counties to UC San Diego. Students who are coming from the San Francisco/Bay Area may be provided roundtrip airfare, based on need. If transportation is needed, please indicate this on the application and we will contact you if we are able to make transportation arrangements for you.
Which meals will be provided?
Meals that will be provided are for Thursday's Dinner; Friday's Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner, and Saturday's Breakfast.
Do we have to stay at the program the entire time?
Your decision to participate in the BSU Overnight Program implies that you will be available to participate for the entire duration of the program. You will be expected to participate in all activities and thus, we will not accept students who cannot commit to the full 3 days of the program.
